“It was dark inside the wolf.”
The promise to future readers is quality storytelling in technical topics. This reminds me of Margaret Atwood’s introduction to her MasterClass video series on creative writing. She used Little Red Riding Hood as an example, claiming that the story could have started with: “It was dark inside the wolf.”
Who am I, and what brought me here?
Hi there, reader. I’m both glad and a bit surprised you’re reading this — after all, it’s the very first post on my blog. My name is Želimir, and I’m a software engineer primarily working in embedded software development for the aerospace industry. If you’re curious about my professional background, you can find the shiny version of it on my About page, or my LinkedIn profile.
Why did I start this blog?
This blog has been on my mind for a long time. Like many engineers, I’ve leaned heavily on online resources throughout both my academic and industry projects. The motivation is simple: I want to document and explain the technical topics I find meaningful — in a way that might also help other engineers and embedded software enthusiasts. Think of it as my technical diary, only public.
Here’s what you’ll find on this blog…
I can’t promise there won’t be the occasional reference to The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit, but what I can promise is this: Every post will aim to present an atomic problem and a simple, intuitive solution. I love analogies, and you’ll see plenty of those in my writing. The core focus will be general software engineering, with a strong emphasis on embedded systems. At some point, I might even launch a tutorial series — let’s see where the journey takes us.
What do I hope to achieve?
One word: sharing.
If this blog helps even a few people solve real problems — or better yet, if it grows into a small community of engineers exchanging knowledge — I’ll consider it a success.
A Note of Inspiration
In every blog post, I’ll include a piece of classical music — not just as background sound, but as a companion to the ideas shared. Whether you’re reading with headphones on or bookmarking it for later, I hope these compositions inspire focus, creativity, or simply bring beauty to your day. Consider it a small tribute to the timeless harmony between logic and art.
To accompany this post, I invite you to listen to one of my all-time favorites:
🎵 Sergei Rachmaninoff – Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor, Op. 18
A timeless masterpiece that blends emotional depth with technical brilliance.

Let’s connect – I’d love to hear from you!
Thank you for making it to the end (if you’re still here — and if I’m lucky, that makes two readers!). Please feel free to challenge the ideas, ask questions, or share your thoughts. I’d love to hear your perspective and maybe even learn something new from you.
Still Learning, Zelimir
